We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your long-standing loyalty, support, and constructive feedback over all these years.

While we usually look to the future at the end of a year, let's take a moment to reflect on this special anniversary. It all began with a chance encounter: A Swiss and a German met on vacation... This meeting led to a partnership that combined tourism insider knowledge with the innovative power of a small software company, laying the foundation for SPORTS RENTAL.

It was a time of technological transformation that now seems like a different era. PCs were just beginning to spread, the internet was in its infancy, and smartphones weren't even imaginable.
In this dynamic sports market, dominated by established companies, we achieved something special: SPORTS RENTAL became successful in a very short time - not a flash in the pan, but sustainable success based on perfect timing, a bit of luck, and the right partners.

In 1994, with the first installations, a development began that we hadn't anticipated ourselves. As the first Windows-based software in the rental market, SPORTS RENTAL made waves. With its graphical interface, easy operation, and revolutionary features like reservation systems and interfaces, SR set new standards. Multi-language capability opened doors - from Switzerland through the DACH region, Italy, and Spain, to the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Today, SR is at home in 25 countries.

SPORTS RENTAL evolved into the "Swiss Army Knife" from Germany. Through close contact with customers, the pure rental program continuously developed into a comprehensive system that became the central hub for rentals, inventory management, depot, check-in, and online booking.

30 years also meant 30 years of technological change: From Windows 3.1 to Windows 11, we've been through every evolution. Behind the scenes, we constantly renewed and improved, even if it wasn't always visible. With over 1,500 configuration options, SPORTS RENTAL now offers a solution for every requirement.

We're particularly proud of our loyal customer base, some of whom have been with us since day one. While the interface has barely changed over the years, everything inside is new. And the next generation is already in the starting blocks: The applications are evolving and increasingly moving away from stationary Windows PCs. Someday we'll say: "Yes, back then, we used to..."

The coming years promise to be exciting - a transition from the proven to a new way of operation. We remain true to our principle: The proven system stays available while we introduce the innovations of the next generation in parallel.

As 2024 draws to a close, we wish you a great start to the new year. The winter season is traditionally the most intensive time - all the more reason for us to wish you successful and smooth operations, as well as all the best for the coming year!
